THE MAIN THING

The Dr. House Watch - Hamilton Khaki King Auto

Medically speaking, he’s adorable (IYKYK). Scrub-in to the sarcastic, witty world of Dr. Gregory House. A place where medical mysteries abound and the clock is always ticking. Speaking of clocks, let's dive into the timepiece that graces his wrist - the Hamilton Field King Auto.

This watch is more than just a timekeeper. It's a statement of military precision and rugged style, much like House himself. With 24-hour time displayed on its dial, the Khaki Field King Auto pays homage to its military heritage. Quite fitting for a man who runs his medical team like a well-oiled machine.

This Hamilton has specially designed protectors to ensure the crown's safety at all times. After all, House wouldn't want anything getting in the way of his diagnostic brilliance. Not even a pesky watch malfunction.

What sets this watch apart is its practicality. Not only does it tell time with precision, but it also displays the day and date, keeping House on schedule for his next medical puzzle or witty retort.

Summary

So, if you ever find yourself facing a medical mystery or just need a dose of House's sharp humor, take a moment to appreciate the timepiece that accompanies him through it all - the Hamilton Field King Auto. It's not just a watch; it's a testament to the enduring legacy of a medical maverick.

P.S. We recently published an article about my three favorite Hamilton watches. I wanted to give another endorsement for Hamilton. They make amazing watches. The watch we discussed today is only $695. Check it out today!

I was interested in watches. But I was lost. I couldn't find one place with all the info I needed to make an informed purchase. So I went on a mission.

CHECK THIS OUT

This is the only smartwatch I’ll ever wear. Garmin Forerunner 55.

Why I like this watch. Compared to other smartwatches, this is affordable ($177). I can get almost two weeks of battery life out of it when I'm not running every day. Who wants to charge their watch every night?!

I wear it in the shower, and pools and don't worry about it when it's on my wrist. The display is easy to read at a glance and I can pick how I want the display presented. I like the time with day and date. (buy it here)

Things it does. It does a lot of things. It measures your heartbeat, reminds you to get up and move, and even can push your phone notifications. I already get enough phone notifications. That’s a hard pass for me. But the option is there if you want it. While I don't use many of the features, I love this watch. It's been with me through a combat deployment and if it ever stops working, I will get another.

How I use this watch. I used to wear this thing 24//365 but not anymore. I use this watch when I am running. It does a fantastic job measuring distance and telling me my pace. The Garmin app is decent, and keeps track of my runs, pulling data from the watch. That's really the only reason I wear it nowadays. Running.

Summary

If you want a smart/fitness watch that is great at the basics and you don’t need to charge every night, then the Garmin Forerunner 55 is the watch for you. If you’re interested in checking it out and want to support this newsletter, take a look at it here.
