Happy Veterans Day
Today’s special edition isn’t really about watches. Today is a special day. It’s an American holiday that originated in 1919 to celebrate the end of the bloodiest war in human history (up until that point).
Veterans don’t just serve. They sacrifice. You may see a man or woman in uniform. What you don’t see are; the missed birthdays, the frequent moving, trips away from family, and the stress that exists with defending freedom.
Instead of saying the typical, “Thank you for your service,” seek out a Vet today and thank them for their sacrifice. Behind every Veteran is a story, some they are more willing to share than others. Ask them to tell a small part of theirs on this special day.
Veterans Watchmaking Initiative
American watch manufacturer, Bulova has the Veterans Watchmaking Initiative. Check it out and support this great cause.
Praesidus Watch Company and the Lost WWII Watch
A paratrooper lost his watch jumping into Normandy in the early hours of D-Day. Find out how Praesidus took care of this Screaming Eagle soldier.
Luminox and the Navy SEALs
An underrated watch brand produces several military-grade watches. This watch features the logo of the Navy SEAL foundation and is an incredible and hardy watch.
So, What?
It seems that watches and the military have always been close-knit. As you look at your watch today, consider this:
There is a servicemember somewhere across the world, looking at his/her watch. That watch may be the only possession from home; a more comfortable and loving place. Please vote below! 👇️
