This paleontologist isn’t boring when it comes to watches.
Let's talk about Ross Geller and his trusty Tag Heuer Formula 1 watch. Now, we know Ross for his love life rollercoasters and his infamous "We were on a break!" line, but have you ever noticed his sleek timepiece?
Ross is not known to be the trendiest guy in the group. You remember the leather pants incident? His Tag Heuer Formula 1 adds a touch of sophistication to his nerdy charm. It's like the watch is saying, "Hey, I might be a paleontologist, but I've got style!" (is the classic "Ross" voice, of course)
Maybe that's why Ross is always on time (well, except for that time he got stuck in the leather pants). With his Tag Heuer by his side, he's ready for any dinosaur bone excavation or impromptu karaoke night with the gang.

Need to read your watch in the dark? A brief history of watch illumination.
☢️ The first known watch illumination was Radium. It was a great option because it had a half-life of 1,600 years. It wasn’t a great option because it was radioactive. Radium was used in watch manufacturing until about the 1960s.
Tritium eventually came into the picture. Early tritium was still radioactive and had a half-life of about 12 years. Tritium paint on dials was outlawed in 1998. But it’s still used safely today via small, glass tubes on watch hands and hour markers.
Super-Luminova is the main illumination substance used today. And the good news, it’s not radioactive. It captures light that “charges” it like a battery. It’s been around since the mid-1990s and is the standard illumination for luxury watches.
